The municipality of Brand-Laaben lies at the foot of the Schöpfl, which at 893 meters is the highest elevation in the Vienna Woods. The Matraswarte, built in 1898, offers a panoramic view of the Laabental valley, the Weinviertel and Waldviertel, the Leiserberge mountains and, in good weather, the Schneeberg, Rax and Ötscher. The Turkish memorial stone commemorates the Turkish siege. The baroque parish church, built in 1012, is also worth seeing. The hiking trails and mountain bike routes invite you to fill up on fresh air.
