The Lighthouse of Formentor, one of the most beautiful landscapes in the Mediterranean.
The area where the Faro de Formentor lighthouse is located is of great scenic value and forms part of the Sierra de Tramuntana mountain range, declared a World Heritage Site by Unesco, from the Port of Pollensa up to the Colomer viewpoint, the Albercutx watchtower, the beach of Formentor or further on Cala Murta or Cala Figuera are extremely beautiful places to be found on the way to the Faro de Formentor.
The winding road leading to the lighthouse runs through a mountainous area and allows us to enjoy spectacular panoramic views with the Mediterranean in the background. Forests, cliffs, beaches with crystalline waters, a unique and wonderful landscape. Due to the large amount of traffic during the summer months, there are restrictions on vehicles within a certain time zone, normally between 10:00 am and 7:00 pm. From Formentor beach there are buses that make the journey to the Faro de Formentor lighthouse.
How to get there:
The Ma-2210 road leads from Puerto de Pollensa to the Faro Formentor lighthouse. In the summer months there are restrictions and you can only get as far as Formentor beach, from the beach there are buses that drive to the Faro de Formentor.
