Vaala library holds exhibitions and small events in addition to basic library services

The Vaala Library offers e.g. books, magazines, language courses, sheet music, music and written recordings, videos, CD-ROMs, and exercise equipment. The library also houses one of the points in the Rokua Geopark Time Travel exhibition. The exhibition tells the story of the birth of the landscape of the Rokua UNESCO Global Geopark area, from the first stages of bedrock development to the latest ice age, the formation of ridges and the spread of human settlements and organisms to the region after the ice age.
