We offer young and old the right read for carefree reading fun on vacation.

The library in the Hooksiel guest house welcomes you and invites you to linger. In a bright and cozy atmosphere you will find the latest books of proven literature and also the excitement is not too short with us. If you are looking for information about the country and its people, cooking recipes, health, etc., you are sure to find what you are looking for and for our young readers we have the right reading material for every reading age. For all visitors who prefer to relax while listening, we recommend our audio books on CD.

Here you will find the user regulations for the libraries in Horumersiel and Hooksiel.

New in the libraries: Thanks to the funding of the Lower Saxony Library Development Programme - Digitization of Public Libraries in Rural Areas, new digital ways for reading fun could be acquired. The libraries in Hooksiel and Horumersiel have joined the library network Onleihe Niedersachsen. This enables them to offer their readers access to a wide range of digital media such as eBooks, ePapers, eAudios and eVideos, which can be downloaded around the clock via a web portal. Membership of the libraries is required to use the Onleihe.
Our online catalog now also makes the libraries' media holdings fully available online. Here you can view and edit your own user account digitally.

Processing fee for loss - For loss of an item (CDs, books, Tonies, etc.): 5.00 €
Pickup fee - Pickup of unreturned items per trip: 25.00 €
An additional processing fee of 5.00 € will be charged for replacements (due to loss or damage).
