Tajch Ottergrund, na ktorý narazíte pri prechádzke náučným chodníkom, je najvyššie položený tajch v štiavnických vrchoch.

Tajch Ottergrund je síce malý, ale má jednu veľkú prednosť. Banskú Štiavnicu máte odtiaľto ako na dlani. Prídete sem z centra mesta, alebo od tajchu Červená studňa. Nachádza sa vo výške 801 m n.m. a je tak trochu ukrytý pred mnohými návštevníkmi. Môžete si tu dopriať zaslúžený oddych a kľud. Ottergrund patrí medzi najromantickejšie a najfotogenickejšie tajchy v celom okolí Banskej Štiavnice. Je z neho krásny výhľad na Banskoštiavnickú kalváriu.
