Vodnú nádrž Tajch nájdete 4,5 km od Námestia sv. Alžbety v Novej Bani.

Postavená bola v roku 1794 ako súčasť banského vodohospodárskeho systému. Je obľúbeným strediskom rekreácie vďaka krásnej prírode, upravenému okoliu a kultúrnemu životu. V lete sa v ňom kúpe, v zime po zamrznutí korčuľuje a obľubujú ho aj rybári, mamičky s kočíkmi či kolieskoví korčuliari. Areál je východiskovým bodom viacerých značených aj neznačených trás pre turistov a cyklistov. Nájdete tu kemp, penzión, reštauráciu, amfiteáter či športové ihriská.
