Der Simssee ist die kleine, unbekanntere Schwester des Chiemsees. Er liegt im Nordosten von Rosenheim und grenzt an fünf Gemeinden. Mit ca. 14 km Umfang ist der Simssee ein kleiner und warmer See.
Badeplätze: Krottenmühl, Baierbach, Ecking, Pietzing.

Der Simssee ist Landschaftsschutzgebiet und das Südufer ein Naturschutzgebiet. Die Umgebung ist geprägt von unterschiedlichsten Landschaftsformen.
