The high trail from Lauchernalp to Fafleralp always leads past the mythic and idyllic Schwarzsee, regardless of the direction hikers might choose to hike. The lake offers a cool and refreshing break, with a fire pit and lovely places to linger and relax. The Trail of Legends can be hiked by anyone, regardless of age, taking about 2h30 to complete and leading from the dwarves of Lauchernalp to the countess of the Schwarzsee. Learn about the origins of the lake’s name. Difficult questions regarding the Lötschental legends will be answered during the hike, and rewarded with small gifts at the end of the tour.
