The Ommersheimer Weiher is a popular local recreation area and, with its small island, is home to numerous aquatic animals, some of which are rare.
In addition to the diverse flora and fauna, there are attractive recreational and leisure facilities. Here you can play football, table tennis, boules or boccia. For Kneipp fans, there is a water treading pool and an arm bath at the historic Alprosbrunnen fountain. A bistro with beer garden and a children's playground invite you to linger by the pond. There is also a caravan site on site.
