Der Nonnenmattweiher im Heubronner Tal 2 km östlich von Münsterhalden bleibt auch im Hochsommer erfrischend kühl.
Hier gibt es eine schöne Feuerstelle mit Tisch und Bänken um sich zu stärken. Im Sommer geht es zum Baden, oder im Herbst wenn die Sonne das bunte Laub im See spiegelt ist es ein Traum zu sitzen und die Ruhe zu genießen. Fürs Auge gibt es viel – Moorlandschaft, Seerosen Blumen, Fische, Vögel, Schmetterlinge.
Der Nonnenmattweiher lässt sich auch ideal mit einer Wanderung ab der Almgaststätte Kälbelescheuer verbinden. Die Runde geht über den Sirnitzkopf, Kreuzweg, Richtung Weiherfelsen bis zum Nonnenmattweiher. Zurück wandert man an der Fischerhütte vorbei und über den Haldenhof zur Kälbelescheuer.
