Embedded in a varied landscape of meadows, fields and small wooded areas, the area around the pond is ideal for relaxing walks and short breaks. Well-developed paths lead through the area and make the place easily accessible for both walkers and cyclists. Several benches around the pond offer the opportunity to consciously enjoy nature and come to rest.
The scenic backdrop is particularly attractive: Old trees, some of which have been designated as natural monuments, expansive views over the surrounding fields and the distant view towards the Swabian Alb create an atmospheric overall picture. The character of the place changes depending on the season - from flowering meadows in spring to calm, clear days in fall.
Lake Oberwald is the ideal destination for a short walk or as a stopover on a cycle tour. For longer excursions, the visit can be easily combined with other destinations in the area, such as the Herrenbach reservoir a few kilometers away.
All in all, Oberwälder See is a small but atmospheric place for anyone who appreciates nature, tranquillity and a beautiful landscape.
