Le rive del lago sono costellate di borghi antichi come Orta, affacciata sull'isola di San Giulio. Palazzi affrescati, parchi e giardini formano la cornice ideale per famiglie, coppie, giovani che amano la natura e la sua pace. Con una breve camminata si sale poi al Sacro Monte di Orta.
