Prírodné jazierko ktoré vzniklo upchatím odtokového ponoru v priečnej skale Silickej planiny. Voda sa v ňom stráca v jaskynnom podzemnom systéme, typickom pre krasové prostredie.
Farárova jama je jedinečné prírodné jazero na Silickej planine, v srdci Národného parku Slovenský kras. Vzniklo prirodzeným spôsobom v krasovej priehlbine a to upchatím odtkovej časti na dne. Jazero je významné aj z hľadiska biodiverzity – žije tu množstvo obojživelníkov, vtákov a hmyzu viazaných na vodné prostredie. Lokalita nie je určená na kúpanie, ale ponúka krásne miesto na oddych, pozorovanie prírody a nenáročnú prechádzku po planine. Názov údajne pochádza z miestnej legendy o farárovi, ktorý sa sem chodil modliť a rozjímať. Farárova jama patrí medzi málo známe, no veľmi pôsobivé miesta Slovenského krasu.
