The information portals at selected locations along the Westweg provide detailed, appealing and easy-to-understand information about the landscape, geological, cultural and historical features.
The aim is to set an example against signposting and to use an innovative concept to bundle the information at a few selected points. When preparing the information, it is less about simply presenting the topics and more about an appealing and easy-to-understand presentation that invites hikers and potential hikers to look at the information boards. The hiker should develop an understanding of the landscape and culture.
