Ursprünglich befand sich der Friedhof um die Pfarrkirche, und die älteste Kapelle von Wolfau wurde vermutlich 1776 hier als Friedhofskapelle erbaut. Als dann der neue Friedhofam heutigen Standort eingeweiht wurde, verfiel die alte Kapelle. 2020/21 wurde mit freiwilligen Helfern der ursprüngliche Zustand wieder hergestellt. Gleichzeitig befindet sich an dieser Stelle ein wunderbarer Aussichtspunkt. An klaren Tagenkönnen von hier aus die Ausläuferder Ostalpen betrachtet werden.
