Bývalá pec na železnú rudu v obci Vaľkovňa je pamiatka, ktorá stále dýcha minulosťou 18.-19. Storočia.

O rozvoj železiarskej výroby na Horehroní sa v minulosti postarala najmä bulharská rodina Coburgovcov. Výroba železa v tejto oblasti napredovala až do prvej svetovej vojny, no neskôr musela byť huta, kde bola železná ruda spracovávaná, uzatvorená. Dnes je pomenovaná podľa hlavného predstaviteľa Ferdinanda Maximiliána Coburga a ponúka síce už schátrané pozostatky valcovne a železnej pece no s nádychom histórie. Pomaly ale isto je pohlcovaná okolitou prírodou, ale určite stojí za to spraviť si zastávku popri ceste a nahliadnuť do jej útrob.
