For four decades, the Wappenhalle was the representative reception building of Munich-Riem Airport and today serves as an event location.
The "Wappenhalle" was completed in 1939, but due to the Second World War it was never officially opened. By the end of the war, the "Wappenhalle" was already badly damaged and was only restored to its old condition on 16 June 1951. In May 1992, flight operations in Munich-Riem were discontinued. Meanwhile the Wappenhalle is a listed building and can be booked as an event location for various occasions.
