The church of St. Gallen in Rittershoffen has a magnificent stained glass window, a masterpiece of the Alsatian master glass artist Tristan Ruhlmann from Haguenau. Joseph Jochum, parish priest of the Catholic parish of Rittershoffen from 1950 to 1998, was the designer and made the sketches. It is the largest stained glass window of all the churches rebuilt in Alsace after the Second World War. It is unique not only for its colourful surface but also for its biblical, ecumenical and historical representation. At night, when the church is illuminated, it shines in all colours, as if adorned with diamonds and sapphires; a figure of the church as St. John saw it in the Book of Revelation: "beautiful as the bride adorned for her husband". It is also a Jacobean heritage building.
