Der Stubenfels stellt eine mächtige, aus mehreren großen Felsen bestehende Felsgruppe dar. Die Felsen sind stratigraphisch in den oberen Geröllhorizont des Mittleren Buntsandsteins zu stellen. Die Felsen zeigen Überhänge und höhlenartige Nischen. An den Wänden sind sehr gute Schrägschichtungszyklen erschlossen. (Quelle: LUBW)
