Der Gebäudekomplex, der sich auf der Rückseite bis zur Holzapfelgasse erstreckt, ist der prägendste Bau der Straße.

Er beherbergt heute eine private Grund- und Realschule, die von Franziskanerinnen der Sießener Schwesternkongregation geleitet wird. In früherer Zeit stand hier ein hohenlohischer Lehenshof, der im Jahr 1291 von Zisterziensermönchen aus Schöntal gekauft und von einem Probst verwaltet wurde. 1371 weihte man eine erste Kapelle zu Ehren des Heiligen Bernhard. Die Sießener Schwesternkongregation erwarb 1894 nach mehrfachem Besitzerwechsel das Gebäude und richtete dort eine höhere Töchterschule ein.

Das prunkvolle Wappen über dem Eingangstor erinnert daran, dass dieses Anwesen einst zum Besitz der Zisterzienser von Schöntal gehörte. Das heutige Gebäude und die durch ein Portal gekennzeichnete Kapelle stammen aus dem 18. Jahrhundert.
