Second Archway

The second gate, known as the "the bridge" or "the rosebush" is located at the entrance to the town and leads to the 13tH century medieval quarter known to have enjoyed a period of well-being and population increase under the Baschi rule. This was where the poorest residents would have resided, while the upper part of the village was reserved for the wealthy. The door was at that time equipped with a drawbridge.
