The long and prestigious history of a town located on the salt route, from the Bronze Age (remarkable bronze sword), to the year 1000 (residence of the imperial family), passing through the "Saletio" of the Romans.

The thematic exhibition space on the history of Seltz is located in the basement of the Tourist Office. The exhibition allows you to take a nice walk through time from the Celts and then the Romans to the time of the Empress Adelaide who lived in Seltz around the year 1000. In particular, a magnificent Celtic bronze sword, found in the area, and excavated artefacts from the Roman period can be discovered. The museum is part of the Rhine Park Pamina, a cross-border ecomuseum spread across both sides of the Rhine.
