Experience everyday culture in Germany's smallest open-air museum
We are opening for you the last petty bourgeois house that Haslach's old town still has to offer: the property comprises a small house attached to the neighbouring building with a ground floor, upper floor and attic. The courtyard and building area together is only 42 m², the house itself is "two rooms deep and just as wide" on just 27 m². And inside, you can experience the true-to-life everyday life of 30 to 80 years ago: Hallway, pantry, eat-in kitchen, parlour, bedroom, bathroom, wooden stage and teenager's room.
Everything you can touch: behind every cupboard door and in every drawer you will find a piece of everyday history, from the bread pudding mould and the dummy slate of your great-grandparents to the milk tin and the record player from the early 1980s.

Guided tours are currently not possible.
A visit to the little house is free of charge as part of a guided tour of the town, but the historical society is happy to receive a donation. Important: When booking a guided tour, please state your preferred visit. Groups without a guided tour can explore "Haus Theres" with a guide. This costs a flat rate of €30.
Registration at the Tourist Information Centre, telephone 07832/706-172.
Twice a year, on Sundays when the town is open for business, Haus Theres is open to the public for two hours. The annual dates in spring (spring festival in March or April) and late in the year (family Sunday in October) can be found in the events calendar on the Haslach website: www.haslach.de.
