Das Haus Orley ist ein gutes Beispiel für den gesellschaftlichen Wandel im 18. Jahrhundert.

Während die Burg oberhalb des Hauses langsam verfiel, errichtete die Familie Orley an ihrem Fuße einen Prachtbau. Über dem barocken Türrahmen aus Rechter Schiefer findet sich das Wappen der Familie und das Jahr seiner Errichtung 1747. Das Haus Orley kann für die damalige Zeit als Luxusbau bezeichnet werden: Es gab Toiletten im Haus, eine Heizung und besonders große Fenster. Selbst der rote Anstrich der Fassade war kostspielig und zeugt von der gesellschaftlichen Stellung, die die Familie Orley innehatte.
