Hinter dem um 1717 erbauten Alten Rathaus mit Fachwerk und Dachreiter liegt der Fornarohof. Dieser ist nach dem in Ottweiler geborenen Maler Johann Heinrich Schmidt, genannt Fornaro, benannt. Dieser lebte von 1757 bis 1828 und war Hofkabinettsmaler des Landgrafen Ludwig I. von Hessen und Darmstadt.
