OLD SYNAGOGUE
1835 building of the synagogue, which was first used as a prayer hall.
1838 survey of the prayer hall to the synagogue.
In 1843 Ludwig I visited on the occasion of laying the foundation stone of the Fruchthalle in Kaiserslautern also Otterberg.
There, he attended a church service in the Abbey Church and he visited the synagogue in Church Street.
1884 in Otterberg was a Jewish community, which at times 20 families were with about 100 people in the 18/19th century.
In the 2nd half of the 19th century, Jewish families are partially migrated, partially cleared in other cities.
1897, resolution of the Jewish community and sell the synagogue.
The building was rebuilt and used as a privat residence.
2002 the Otterberger Georg Jörg acquires the building and renovated inside and outside the House.
In more than 15,000 hours of work, the original outer State of the synagogue is created again.
