Besonders auffällig sind die beiden Türme mit Aussichtsplattformen und den sich darüber wölbenden Baldachindächern im chinesischen Stil, eine dem damaligen Zeitgeist entsprechende Modeerscheinung. Der Stadtgarten wurde ebenfalls um 1750 angelegt, allerdings erst im Jahre 1901 endgültig als Park ausgebaut.
Er dient teilweise als Schulhof des Schönborn Gymnasiums und gemeinsam mit dem Schießhaus als Rahmen für Konzerte und Theateraufführungen.
Innenbesichtigungen sind möglich im Rahmen einer Stadtführung bzw. einer Belvedere-Sonderführung, bei der über die illustre Gesellschaften und wilde Jagdabenteuer damaliger Zeit berichtet wird; was sich bei der Wild- und Vogeljagd des Fürstbischofs so alles zugetragen hat und welche Überraschungen er sich hat einfallen lassen, um seine verwöhnten Gäste zu unterhalten.
