There are also two ponds which are the remains of the outer city moats just in front of the ramparts that protected Einbeck against attacks until the 18th century. The ponds are a great place to watch ducks.

Zu Fuß: Ab dem Marktplatz erreicht man den Wall über die Tiedexer Straße in 5 Minuten (400 m). Mit dem Auto: Ab einer der Abfahrten von der B3 nach Einbeck sind es bis zum Bäckerwall rund 5 Minuten (3 - 4 km) Fahrzeit. In der Straße Hullerser Mauer befinden sich zwei nahegelegene Parkplätze.
Mit dem ÖPNV: Einbeck ist über den Bahnhof Einbeck-Mitte an das Bahnnetz angebunden. Man erreicht den Bäckerwall zu Fuß in rund 13 Minuten vom Bahnhof Einbeck-Mitte aus.
