The slowness of steam

Green Ore Mountain forests and villages that hold little gems for visitors line the route of the Weißeritztalbahn. Through the wildly romantic Rabenauer Grund, the steam train winds its way along the Red Weisseritz River and a hiking trail that is as popular as it is easy to follow. For the return trip, take a seat in the open observation car and enjoy nature. With the excursion tips and tested cycling and hiking tours of the free adventure map, you will quickly find your personal favorite destination along the Weißeritztalbahn - away from tourist hotspots, but operated with love and heart and soul.
