Bis zur Eröffnung des Krebsbachputzers war der Oberlauf des schluchtartigen Tals kaum bekannt. Die Wanderung entlang des wildromantischen Bachlaufs mit den beidseits steil aufragenden Felshalden ist ein Genuss. Kreuz und quer liegende Bäume vermitteln Urwaldcharakter. Durch den unteren, offenen und lieblichen Abschnitt fahren Pferdekutschen von der Lochmühle bis unterhalb der Tudoburg.
