Where it all began... THE QUARRY AT THE VINEYARD
Here sat Jacques Berndorf, whose work as a journalist had brought him to this remote place in the Eifel, while he was researching a story for Der Spiegel about the government bunker in the Ahr Valley. Here he sat, pondering his life so far, which had taken him to all the crisis hotspots of the earth, and here the thought first crossed his mind that a crime novel could develop excellently in this quiet seclusion. This is where the first ideas for "Eifel-Blues."
