The Lame Rosse di Fiastra are peculiar rock formations, the result of thousands of years of erosion by atmospheric agents.
They are undoubtedly one of the most interesting places in the Monti Sibillini National Park in the Marche region.The Lame Rosse are a beautiful canyon with a striking red colour, reminiscent of the landscapes of US parks. They are composed of pinnacles and towers made of gravel held together by clay and silts. Underneath them flows the Fiastrone River, which originates from the Fiastra Lake, located just below the geo-site.
