A Novohrad-Nógrád Geopark geológiai tanösvényének egyik legkülönlegesebb állomása, mely a terület kőzettani sajátosságait mutatja be gyűjtemény fomájában.
A Kőtár mind különös építeszeti megoldásaival, mind jellegével felhívja magára a figyelmet. Különlegessége, hogy egy természetben található erdei tárlatban vehetjük szemügyre a vulkanikus jelenségekben igen gazdag geopark kőzettani sokszínűségét. Az eligazodást színes, informatív táblák segítik. Összesen 12 féle kőzetet vizsgálhatunk meg, melyek mindegyike a geopark területéről származik.
A Béri-Nagy-hegy védett terület, ami a határon átnyúló Novohrad-Nógrád Geopark része. Területén igen különböző formájú és típusú vulkanikus tevékenységek maradványait tanulmányozhatjuk: hasadékvulkánok (telérek), lakkolitok, robbanásos eredetű maarok és lávatakarók is találhatók itt.
