About 4 kilometres south of Bad Birnbach towards Asenham lies the crocodile stone (Krokodilstein) on a hill after Hölzlberg in an open area, which can be seen from far away.

This exposed "conglomerate chunk" with its external form is fascinating. Due to thousands of years of erosion by wind and weather, the stone block weighing tons has retained the appearance of a crocodile. The appearance of the torn open crocodile mouth is a popular photo object of the guests of Bad Birnbach.

Wir haben die Tour mit den Rädern gemacht.Sie führte uns über sehr steile Wege mit losem Untergrund der nicht befahrbar war.Mit Mountainbike sicher schon.Wir haben die Räder hinauf geschoben was allerdings sehr anstrengend war.

Warum ist die ehemalige Krokodilsteintour nicht mehr in den Tourenvorschläge enthalten? Diese würden wir nämlich gerne noch einmal machen, da sie sehr schön war und, sofern man die Blicke auch mal schweifen ließ, viele Aussichtspunkte hatte, abgesehen von der idyllisch gelegenen Kapelle im Wald.
