Beschreibung: Am 16. Juli 1972 wurde die neu gezüchtete Rose Bad Wörishofen getauft. Von der gelungenen Veranstaltung war Gerd Horstmann, Mitinhaber einer Großgärtnerei, derart begeistert, dass er der Stadt 1.000 Rosenstöcke in 63 Sorten stiftete. Das war der Grundstein für den heutigen Rosengarten.Mit der Kurparkerweiterung konnte auch der Garten 1988 um die Historischen Rosen und 1991 um die Englischen Rosen ergänzt werden. Ein Höhepunkt war die Taufe der Rose Sebastian Kneipp zum Todestag 1997 und die Taufe der Rose Bad Wörishofen 2005 zur 150. Wiederkehr des Einzugs von Kneipp im Kloster Bad Wörishofen. Auf einer Gesamtfläche von 10.000 qm sind heute 6000 Rosenstöcke in 423 Sorten gepflanzt.
