Galerie Magnet
Tourismusregion Klopeiner See – Südkärnten – Lavanttal Verified partner
The Magnet Gallery from Völkermarkt specializes in the artists of the Classical Modernism of Carinthia. These include not only the big names like Herbert Boeckl and Werner Berg but primarily the artists from the Nötscher Circle (Anton Kolig, Franz Wiegele, and Sebastian Isepp, along with their students Anton Mahringer and Gerhart Frankl) and significant individualists like Ludwig Heinrich Jungnickel, Arnold Clementschitsch, or Jean Egger.
In recent years, the Carinthian classics of the second half of the 20th century have also been included: Hans Bischoffshausen, Kiki Kogelnik, Hans Staudacher, Giselbert Hoke, Bruno Gironcoli, among others.
In addition to the exhibitions in the three locations in Völkermarkt, Klagenfurt, and Vienna, participation is regularly made in the art fairs “ArtVienna” at the Leopold Museum in Vienna, “ART&ANTIQUE” in the Vienna Hofburg, “Kunstsalon Perchtoldsdorf” in Perchtoldsdorf near Vienna, and “ArtAustria” at the Palais Liechtenstein, Vienna.
