Schlossberg Schiltach with remains of Schiltach Castle
Schlossberg
The 417 metre high Schlossberg rises majestically above the roofs of the old town. Schiltach Castle was built on it in the 13th century. For a long time, it was a border castle of the Württembergers and a garrison after the Thirty Years' War. It was demolished in 1825 due to dilapidation. The marvellous panoramic view alone makes the climb worthwhile.
