For all castle fanatics amongst you, the Hohenbaden Castle, built in 1102, and known locally as the Altes Schloss (Old Castle), is an absolute must!
Between the 11th and the 15th century the Old Castle of Hohenbaden was the seat of the Margraves of Baden. Follow in their footsteps, discover secret castle dungeons, climb the many steep steps to massive walls and viewing terraces. Once you have reached the top, you will be rewarded with a unique and fascinating panoramic view of the city, the Black Forest and the Rhine plain!
Visiting the castle is free of charge. Car parking facilities are also available.
