The God da Tamangur in the scenically impressive Val S-charl is the highest continuous Swiss stone pine forest in Europe and can be explored on a marked hike.

In the Swiss stone pine forest, nature can develop completely freely. No more trees are felled and dead trees are left lying. Individual trees can grow 2400m above sea and can become up to 700 years old. The Swiss stone pine is the only pine species with five needles. It is also called Swiss stone pine.

The God da Tamangur is best reached on a hike from S-charl to Lü in Val Müstair or vice versa.

Von Osten: via Landeck / Österreich in Richtung St. Moritz auf H27
Von Süden: via Reschenpass (Nauders-Martina) oder Ofenpass (Val Müstair-Zernez) auf H27

S-charl liegt in einem Seitental von Scuol und ist von dort mit dem Auto erreichbar. Da die nicht geteerte Strasse nach S-charl teilweise sehr eng ist, empfehlen wir die Anreise mit dem Postauto. Von dort geht es zu Fuss oder mit dem Mountainbike bis zum God da Tamangur, welcher nur zu Fuss besichtigt werden sollte, weiter.
