Forêt de chêne vert

Avec son feuillage persistant, le chêne vert (Quercus ilex), arbre de la famille des Fagacées, peut mesurer de 5 à 20 m de haut et a une longévité de 200 à 500 ans. La floraison s’étend d’avril à mai. Espèce commune dans la région méditerranéenne, il peut se nicher dans les rochers calcaires jusqu’à 1 200 m ou 1 300 m d’altitude.
