Die Narzissenfelder in Seewis befinden sich oberhalb vom Dorf – die ersten Narzissenfelder (1300 m ü. M.) erreichen Sie nach einer Marschzeit von ca. 45 Minuten. Die Bergnarzisse oder auch Dichternarzisse genannt, stammt ursprünglich aus dem Mittelmeerraum. Die Seewiser bezeichnen «ihre» Blume liebevoll als «Gapiescha», «Geissblüemli» oder «Muntblüemli». Wie die Dichternarzisse den Weg ins Prättigau gefunden hat, bleibt ihr Geheimnis. Weshalb sie uns Menschen schon seit Jahrhunderten fasziniert, erklärt vielleicht die Bedeutung der Bezeichnung «Narzisse»: dieser stammt aus dem griechischen und steht für «betäuben» resp. «Narkose».
