Am Ufer der Mulde - als attraktiver Rastplatz am Mulderadweg - liegt der Natur- und Geschichtspark Canitz. Erleben Sie die Natur im Einklang mit unserer Geschichte. Entdecken Sie den Alltag unserer Vorfahren von der Steinzeit bis zur Sklavenzeit.
Wissenswertes über die Lebensräume der Insekten vom Schmetterling bis zu den Bienen erfahren Sie in den Naturgärten. Zu den unterschiedlichen Jahreszeiten sind auch die Themengärten (u. a. der Duft-, Kräuter-, Bio- und Rosengarten) immer wieder einladend.
Eine museale Einrichtung im Zentrum des „Parkes Canitz" beinhaltet Ausstellungen zur Siedlungsgeschichte im Mulde-Parthe-Gebiet, zum Wald- und Naturschutz im mittleren Muldegebiet, zum Trinkwasserschutz und zur Trinkwassergewinnung. Weiterhin ist hier eine Ausstellung des Naturschutzbundes zu sehen.
Die Nutzung der gesamten Parkanlage in Canitz eignet sich ideal für Kindergeburtstage, Familien- und Betriebsfeiern sowohl auch Seminare.
