Ackerman is the oldest established producer of fine sparkling Saumur wines. Founded in 1811, it specialises in making sparkling Saumur and Crémant de Loire wines using the “méthode traditionelle”.

Discobver the Wine Trail, Voyage to the Centre of the Bubbles and learn all about Saumur sparkling wines and how they are made. This spectacular and interactive visit lets you in on the secrets of Jean-Baptiste Ackerman, the pioneer of sparkling wines in the Loire Valley, and shows how these fine effervescent Saumur wines come into being. Explore the underground cellars hewn from the rock, that are in some places more than 20 metres high. Marvel at the monumental and ephemeral creations of the Ackerman-Fontevraud Scene artists in residence, and conclude your visit with a game for all the family on the theme of the Loire and a tasting of some of Ackerman’s most iconic wines.
