Die Schwarzenbach-Talsperre ist mit ca. 2 km Länge der größte Stausee im Nord- und Mittelschwarzwald. Das Wasser wird in unter- und oberirdischen Druckstollen und -rohren zur Stromgewinnung bis zum Rudolf-Fettweis-Werk (EnBW) in Forbach geleitet. Imposant ist ein Blick von der Sperrmauer in das darunter liegende Tal oder hinaus auf den See.

Die Mauer ist eine Gußbetonmauer mit Granit-Felsblockeinlagen, Größte Höhe: 65,3 m, Kronenlänge: 400 m, Sohlenbreite: 48,3 m, Kronenbreite: 6,2 m Höhe, Mauerinhalt: 285.000 m³, Länge der Kontrollgänge: 110 m, Bauzeit: 1922 - 1926

Die Mauer ist frei begehbar. Führungen durch die Staumauer und das Kraftwerk sind für Gruppen nach Anmeldung möglich.
