A nature reserve since 1923, various layers of earth millions of years old can be observed at a height of 20 metres on the Morsum cliff.
In addition, many areas of the cliff are under monument protection, as the Morsum Cliff is one of the best-preserved prehistoric cultural landscapes in Schleswig-Holstein. Traces of settlements from the Stone, Bronze, Viking and Roman periods have been found here in a very small area.
The Morsum Cliff is definitely worth a visit, whether you are on a historical discovery tour or simply want to enjoy Sylt's nature.
