Die evangelische Weinbergkirche „Zum Heiligen Geist“ ist eine barocke Dorfkirche im Dresdner Stadtteil Pillnitz. Der Name geht auf die Lage im Königlichen Weinberg zurück.Die Kirche(Sakralbau 1723) ist der erste ausgeführte Kirchenbau von Matthäus Daniel Pöppelmann,dem Architekten da es Dresdner Zwingers. Die erste Orgel der Kirche stammte aus der alten Schlosskirche.
Mit dem Bestehen der Interessengemeinschaft Weinbergkirche e.V. wurde seit Mai 1990 nicht nur ein denkmalpflegerisches Kleinod vor dem Verfall gerettet, sondern ein Zeichen für Aufbruch, Neugestaltung und Zukunftvisionen mit dieser Pöppelmann-Kirche weithin sichtbar von bürgerbewegten Elbhangbewohnern und weiteren Engagierten in Stadt und Land gesetzt. Die Kirche im Weinberg ist geöffnet und wird genutzt:
- zur Besichtigung, Information und stillen Einkehr an den Sommer-Wochenenden,
- als Raum für Konzerte, Lesungen, Vorträge, Ausstellungen,
- für Gottesdienste, Hochzeiten und Taufen.
