Die Wallfahrtskirche Frauenstein ist eine Stätte des Gebetes und der Gottesbegegnung. Sie lädt zum Gebet in Stille und Besinnung ein. Mit dieser inneren Einstellung kommen die Pilger seit Jahrhunderten zur Schutzmantel-Mutter-Gottes nach Frauenstein, zu unserer Frauen Capel auf dem Stain. Um 1300 wurde der Bau einer Kirche erstmals urkundlich erwähnt.

Das Steyrtal wird durch die Buslinien 452 (Rohr-Bad Hall-Steinbach a. d. Steyr) und 433 (Steyr-Molln-Kirchdorf) erschlossen.
