Erstmals urkundlich erwähnt wird die Kirche Dörnbach 1333. Der ursprünglich gotische Bau wurde stark verändert und auch mit einem Tonnengewölbe ausgestattet. An die Gotik erinnert noch der Chor, wobei die Netzrippen entfernt wurden, des Weiteren das gotische Sakramentenhäuschen nördlich des Chores, das Südportal mit spätgotischen Beschlägen und außen die spätgotische Steinkanzel mit der Jahreszahl 1501. Seit 1660 ist die Pfarrkirche eine beliebte Wallfahrtskirche, gewidmet „Unserer Lieben Frau vom guten Rat“.
