Die Stadtkirche Trebsen ist eine große romanische Saalkirche aus dem 12. Jahrhundert mit eingezogenem spätgotischem Chor mit 3/8-Schluss (1518). Der Turm, erbaut 1552, trägt eine im Jahr 1731 fertig gestellte Zwiebelhaube. Der Innenraum der Kirche wurde nach 1700 barock ausgestattet und ist heute noch geprägt von dem großen Deckengemälde von 1701, das die Himmelfahrt des Elia darstellt. Die Kirche dokumentiert in einzigartiger Weise 9 Jahrhunderte christlicher Bau-, Kultur- und Kirchengeschichte. Zu sehen sind u.a. die aus der 1. Hälfte des 12. Jahrhunderts stammende Reliefgrabplatte der Judita von Trebissen, ein großes Kruzifix (um 1500) und figürliche Grabmäler von Patronsherren und Pfarrfamilien. Die Glasmalerei im Altarraum von 1912 zeigt den Auferstandenen, darunter die Stifterfamilie Wiede. Kriegergedächtnis in der ehemaligen Sakristei mit einer Pieta von 1923 und einem Glasmalereifenster von 1953.
Auf dem Pfarrhof ist ein Diakonat aus dem 16. Jahrhundert mit Doppelportal aus Rochlitzer Porphyrtuff und das Pfarrhaus aus dem 16. und 18. Jahrhundert mit Sitznischenportal (um 1520) zu sehen.
