    Photo: Donnersberg-Touristik-Verband, Donnersberg-Touristik-Verband
Origin: As early as 1500, there are records of a chapel in the same place. The Gothic and thus older choir of the present Protestant church originates from this chapel. The nave was only added in 1602. Furnishings/Art: ▪ Stone figure of St. James from 1744 (renovated in 1977) above the church entrance, depicting the patron saint of the church with his attributes of pilgrim's staff and shell ▪ Tomb of the boy Christoph Daniel Wölbius, who died in 1724, on the wall in the choir Special Features: ▪ Since the Thirty Years' War, the church served as a simultaneous church until a separate Catholic church (also dedicated to St. James) was built in 1932 ▪ The Jacob's pilgrimage route passes by both churches ▪ Jacob's shell in the Lohnsfeld coat of arms (Sunday after St. James' Day, July 25, marks the annual Kerwe Sunday)
